I also have sage, but pineapplesage this time.It smells vaguely to pineapple and I have used it mainly in salads this far. I love to see how the herbs grow!
Lucky you, Yaelian. Pineapple sage makes delicious tea. Or drop a handful of leaves into the hot water next time you take a tub bath.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen my sage blooming. I think it’s because I always pinch the new growth to use in cooking and to keep the plant bushy.
Yes, that’s the right thing to do…but I’m a sucker for edible flowers. Salvia officinalis blossoms in a deep lavender color – so pretty, and so effective as a grace note, scattered over a salad.
